Shot on location at Burnaby Lake Railroad by Jack Lu

Another little black suit to add to the roster. This time with the help of this leather crop by Stone Cold Fox via the cutest little Australian boutique, Splice. When my obsession of leather and all things cropped come together, I had to acquire it. I balanced the tough exterior of the top with my repeat offender satin shorts. The tracks were quiet and empty when we first got there so we took advantage of the calm and tiptoed along the railroad. When we heard the train crossing ring, the tracks became a lot less quiet and everything else a blur. The first train we used for shooting, the second train to flatten a toonie. We would've used a penny but us Canadians are all out of those.

Currently blogging from the YVR airport gate heading to LA for a quick little project! Vancouver has been kind to me lately in terms of weather and Jack and I managed to capture a particularly sunny day in Gastown a few weeks ago. We wandered around, mostly around Main & Alexander, before deciding to check out graffiti alley off Homer. And here the pyjama shirt strikes again. What I love about this top is how breathable and lightweight it is. Perfect for layering over some rugged, opaque leather shorts. Fringed with delicate lace, these Rag & Bone Highclare's are still my favourite - the hidden pockets were a good selling point. Haphazard buttoning skills and black accents paired well with my lazily slung Miu Miu bag. I'm still in love with the harlequin pattern and feel a little smug that I coincidently channelled my inner Harley Quinn in such a hooligan appropriate surrounding. I wonder if any Batman fans read my blog?

This is what I look like after a day of spring cleaning: exhausted & hangry. Anticipating a rewarding dinner in Ocean Park, we first stopped at an uphill community garden lot and sneaked in a couple photos. Pre-hoodie, my outfit sums up the basic anatomy of my usual attire; anonymous white top, denim cutoffs, and comfy slip on shoes. Post-hoodie gives you a more interesting update. I had just received this denim doodad in the morning from Maximillia Boutique in Australia and was really surprised to see just how structured a hoodie can be. It is made out of Ksubi denim after all... Tough stuff. In detail, the embroidery is nothing short of amazing; reminiscing that of toy kaleidoscope patterns and stained glass windows. Rad, huh?

Ahh Malibu, how I love you! Having read and heard about Moonshadows Malibu from several different sources, we decided to cozy on down the PCH to the restaurant just in time for the most magical sunset but not before taking a nap by the pier. I was so stoked to do said napping in my new orange crush shorts by lace experts, Lover. I've been yearning for a delicate piece by the Australian duo for years now and was so happy to finally add them to my constantly growing collection of short shorts. Those who wish to do the same, hurry because they're on sale! Paired with an easy, white linen tunic from Zara to keep things extra sleepwear-like. Shoes of choice included espadrilles for comfortable cavorting, then some cross strap pumps for seafood fine dining. Nails kept nude & bling simple.

Flipping back and forth between Bryant Park and the beautiful NY public library on a particularly humid day in the Big Apple. I love New York for its perfect cityscape backgrounds at any angle and although my heart still lies in LA, I must say that this particular East Coast city is sneaking its way into 2nd place. Now, about the outfit... Well I bought this macramé fisherman's net/dress from my last trip to HK as a means of wearing something that would allow me to escape the extreme humidity there. Turns out it came in handy in New York for a few days of sweltering similarity. I laid the dress over a simple black bra & biker shorts to keep things slim and still show some skin. The espadrilles were a no brainer as I've been wearing them to the point of slipper status as they're THAT dreamily comfortable. My vintage jacket from Berlin in case of cold shoulders, my studded Valentino to keep in theme with the studs on the jacket, and a gold choker to round things off!

Hope all my Canadian friends are having a wonderful Thanksgiving!
