I know we're nearly at the end of February so this random picture post on January might seem moot, but I assure you that the content is still relative! All photos were taken here in Vancouver, consisting of a lot of food and simple things that inspired me in the first month of 2014.
Love month post to follow soon...

Hello lovers! Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day weekend filled with a saccharine amount of sweets. Here's an upload from LA, spent at a slice of Moroccan heaven in the middle of Hollywood. With its keyhole shaped entrance and gold monolithic double doors, Acabar only gets more beautiful and ornate on the inside. Outfit colour scheme involved black on black on black, spiced with a little bit of gold. Things that helped me bring this to life included stealing Stevy's jacket, carefully curated jewelry, my Alexander Wang bib top, and a pair of old jeans by Twenty8Twelve. The triple zipper threat on the sides of the jeans are super fun to play with although they do get a little catawampus from time to time. I love how they allow me to decide how much of a flare vs. a straight leg I should have depending on what mood I'm in. Options, people.

Is everyone in Vancouver prepared for the looming snowstorm that's said to be approaching? I certainly am not. Nor do I welcome it as I prefer to wear as little layers as possible along with shoes that don't require such thick, wooly socks that a snowshoe might. These photos were taken on Chinese New Year weekend when my city was going through a couple warmer days where we were getting absolutely beautiful sunsets prompting even the shyest of photographers to pull out their iPhones to snap a quick picture. Myself included. Worn here is my newly favourite jacket with the most peculiar of textures by Alexander Wang, along with my beautiful thick, silk top by Lorick NY that recently resurfaced into my wardrobe. I adore the sharp chartreuse yellow juxtaposed with the deep blue navy on the underside of the sash. The top and jacket are so overtly pretty that I de-beautified them with my sister's old pair of rugged jeans that are currently held together by only a few sinews of thread. Bad news for me as these jeans are the only piece of denim I own - in the pants department anyway. Slipped on my black pumps and voilà, I was ready for CNY dinner!

NY fashion week begins soon so here's a little reminder of what it was like last season in September. I don't know if I'm committing the biggest blogger faux pas by doing such an immense 'throwback' post but (oh well) here goes. Filled with many of the city and its iconic cabs, frolics in Bryant Park, our new favourite place for coffee and bluegrass jams: The Randolph, familiar faces in foreign places, looks of contempt while waiting for a sandwich, a sprinkle of Harry Potter reference, and of course, avocado toast. For details on outifts, refer to here

P.S. I've now added my YouTube channel to my ever growing list of social media below.
