[ Style Stalker 'Time Travel' cutout dress, Aldo heels, Deathly Hallows necklace ]

Designers and creative types alike who really take the time to come up with a style name totally worthy of the piece itself deserves a real and virtual-emoji handclap. They get bonus points when they also get creative in the colour department. Using this Style Stalker dress as a perfect example, the name 'time travel' has been given to it and I can only imagine one would always need a tightly fitting white dress & well ventilated axilla due to full optimization of slits/cutouts in whatever time you're traveling to. As for the colour, these Aussies must have tapped my cranium at some point because they've named it after my favourite childhood drink: milk. I was actually a little hesitant about this dress but after a little cajoling from Stevy, I decided to wear it to his pre-tour party at the Mondrian. It was here that I realized how useful swing sets are in showing off cutout details. Standard playground ones will do although ones that are covered in velvet don't hurt.

soho, hong kong.

Still flipping through pages of my Hong Kong diary in the form of iPhoto and I still have so many updates from my trip there. Here's one from when I visited the Soho area of HK in hopes of visiting some vintage stores and seeking out this one café I heard about from an organic grocer a day or two prior. (Will elaborate more on this in the photo diary) Once again, Hong Kong's thick humidity called for the staple 'shorts + tee' combo and it gave me a chance to whip out my beloved pair of leather & lace shorts, whom the masterminds behind Rag & Bone created. I have such hearts in my eyes whenever I gaze across these shorts in my closet. The leather is so buttery soft and the lace so delicately pretty that combining these two fabrics is such a tactile sensation. Everyone knows Dimepiece LA and their reputation for creating all the IT items for streetwear right now, (Google 'Ain't No Wifey tee' for further proof), and although my style isn't the total epitome of what Dimepiece is all about, I thought it would be a good challenge for me to blend the two together. The particular crop top was chosen given the apropos living situation I'm in and the total overconfident, Impact font statement stamped across the chest. And despite the fact that it has a strong Tokyo Drift vibe that I have a love/hate relationship with, it was fun to prettify it with the girliest of sunglasses and my go to A-line skirt that allowed me to fully utilize this perfectly good lawn to sprawl on in the most decent way a lady can.

ted's lookout.

Not to be confused with Jardine's Lookout, Ted's vantage point includes a great view of Moon Street from its seriously tucked away eatery. Having never travelled to the Star Street precinct of Wan Chai, finding this place was a nice little adventure with pleasant discoveries of an organic grocers, a spectacles shop, and the Phillip Lim and Carven boutique on the way. Annual trips to Hong Kong means I have the whole attire formula down-pat: comfortable flat shoes & something lightweight due to the copious amounts of walking & the humidity. On this particular occasion I opted for my new favourite tunic and a double dose of paisley. I couldn't believe my serendipity when I found out my new scarf that Scarlett Fashion sent me magically matched my recently acquired bandana shorts with the same twisted teardrop design. The obvious pairing of the two was so blatant and tempting that I caved. Thank you to Warren and Ambrose from Ted's Lookout for an awesome lunch & for etching Kate Moss on your wall. It's always nice to stare at some version of her.
