Shot amongst the Whistler, BC woods in Murrin Lake, Porteau Cove, and Scandinave Spa by Steve Pyne

A lot of hair fussing in this one. Sorry, not sorry because it was so super windy to the point where I would be carried away if I jumped. I'm wearing only like, 7 pieces here so I'm gonna embed the details in the text. I took Steve up here for his birthday and am so glad I got to explore Whistler with him. Wore this beautifully simple A to the Z pullover by Eleven Paris for Intermix x Ceizer with an old leather skirt by Alexander Wang. Paired with buckled Topshop boots because cute. We stopped at Murrin Lake on the way up and almost didn't want to leave for I felt the woodland fairies calling me to stay and be one with the tall trees and mossy rocks. Cheesy I know but I fantasize like this all the time. Next stop was the Scandinave Spa! And omg what a spa it was. See my full experience right here. All that was worn here was a robe and Suboo's Rise and Fall bikini. We stayed there all day and I was so psyched to leave at nightfall because there's a beauty to things in the dark. Shadows, silhouettes, and shapes are more vibrant plus owls were hooting so yay. Slept so comfortably that night and the next day I wanted to take as much bed with me as possible so I just rolled into this Acne pajama-ish shirt that's half serious half sexy and wholly comfortable. BLK DNM leather pants because brr cold mornings. Topped it off with my dad's old scarf and I was stomping around Whistler Village and getting mesmerized by the fallen Ents at Porteau Cove before making our way back to Vancouver. I'll be back to see you again when the snow falls Whistler!

Out of all the collaborations H&M has with designers, I was the most indecisive about this one. On the one hand I was super surprised that it was all workout inspired, while on the other hand, I was glad to see some objects in there (hello boxing gloves!) along with some rad 90's pieces. Typically I buy 1 or 2 pieces from each collab but this time I started out with one and have been adding to that almost daily. There's like, a sudden growth in my sports bras collection thanks to Mr. Wang. I fell in lust with this piece as soon as the collection revealed and bought it mostly for its 90% elastic properties. It's super fitted and very low cut so I covered the rest of me up with some comfy pants from Reformation. Swathed myself in this blanket coat that I recently got in Hong Kong and braced myself for the chilly yet sunny LA winter. Now off to San Francisco for Thanksgiving!
Special thanks to Morgan & Nicole for 4am kindness level to the max.

Shot on location at the Scandinave Spa, Whistler by Stevy Pyne

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to explore a part of Whistler I've never gone before: the Scandinave Spa. It's literally only 5 mins away from bustling Whistler Village and yet it seems so far removed like a spa Narnia where serenity and silence reign supreme. Stevy and I drove up from Vancouver and arrived 2hrs later ready to relax. Luckily we caught the sun at a good time, filling the spa with a lovely light. Although even without it you'd be able to marvel at its calmness. There's like, a sense of magic in the air when you're walking through the spa grounds experiencing each bath. Perhaps it's due to the code of silence and absence of technology along with the communal understanding amongst guests to do one thing and one thing only: relax. It really takes the pressure off. Everyone is mindful of their space and it's interesting to see how we communicate with one another when words are out of the picture. The spa recommends that in order to get the full Scandinavian hydrotherapy experience, you should repeat the cycle of hot, cold, and relax about 3 to 4 times. There are several options within each stage so you experience a different method to reach each sensation every time. We immersed ourselves in the hot baths for about 15 mins, then I braved the cold baths solo (thanks Stevy) for 10 seconds before shivering back into my cuddly robe and heading to the hammock haven to relax. All of these elements along with the breathtaking views of the Whistler mountain vistas make this experience truly sensational.
Thank you to Helena and the Scandinave Spa for showing me what true relaxation feels like!

Shot on location at the Dude Chilling Park, East Vancouver by Spencer Varsek

The fact that a park titled something as rad as this is amazing. The fact that said park resides in Vancouver makes it even more so. After a hearty brunch at Yolks, Spencer and I ventured around East Van looking for this absurd place. We found it, parked illegally, and started snapping away. The grass was dewy from the previous night's rain (so... regular for Raincouver) but I sit anywhere really. All this sitting and criss crossing was being done in my new Blk Dnm leather pants. Impressive huh? Thank god I sized up. I usually have the worst luck when buying pants but these turned out to be the exception to the rule! I love the ankle zips and ribbed knee padding and the maximum comfort factor. I purchased mine from the ssense sale but I think they're still available on net-a-porter. Seriously an investment piece but just think cost-per-wear and you'll be clicking Add to Cart just like moi.

Another little black suit to add to the roster. This time with the help of this leather crop by Stone Cold Fox via the cutest little Australian boutique, Splice. When my obsession of leather and all things cropped come together, I had to acquire it. I balanced the tough exterior of the top with my repeat offender satin shorts. The tracks were quiet and empty when we first got there so we took advantage of the calm and tiptoed along the railroad. When we heard the train crossing ring, the tracks became a lot less quiet and everything else a blur. The first train we used for shooting, the second train to flatten a toonie. We would've used a penny but us Canadians are all out of those.
