My first time being in Vegas and it's definitely not my kind of place. But I'm also not one to knock things until trying them. These were taken on our first day after checking in to our hotel and doing a quick wardrobe change to something more casual for walking around everywhere. Yeah I don't know why I deemed a leather vest appropriate for desert weather but I needed some form of overbearing body covering to contrast the tininess of my crop top and shorts. The latter of which were probably just made for sleeping in but who follows those rules anyway.

Start of the second day in Vegas and we decided it was a day purely for lounging. Rented out a day bed at Treasure Island, ordered 2 too many drinks, went between bouts of  being too hot to too cold, and learned that I could tie a cherry stem knot with my mouth.

I feel like this bikini has a total Park Avenue Princess sort of vibe with its uniform stripes and grey/white colour palette. Although the cute bow in the front was what really sold me. Here I am also wearing jewelry to the pool and I know how very impractical it may be but I like it. I always pick non-metal jewelry when I'm pool dipping from fear of it burning onto my skin. Unpleasant imagery, I know. 

Just focus on my lovely plastic earrings instead.

LA to Vegas. That 5 hour drive that consisted of beautiful scenery out of car windows, the glaring sun on my shoulders, Beach House blasting on the speakers, Joshua Tree spottings, and an old railroad track on the side of the road. Perfect for photos wouldn't you say?

This Topshop dress is perfect for hot days like this was with its lightweight tissue thinness and its mid-torso triangular cutout provides ample breeze to my waist. At least, that's what I like to think. These Bakers boots are completely reminiscent of Balmain's circa 2008 and I'm definitely wearing a fall boot in the summer but I justified this by saying I needed a sturdy foot protector for traipsing around in the desert.

Just go with it.

Finally getting around to posting this photo shoot I did with my two favourite Steve's. The inspiration came from classic raw dog rocker dudes and the glamorous women in their lives that inspire them. Keith Richards & Patti Hansen, Mick & Bianca Jagger, Johnny Depp & Kate Moss, you get the gist. I adore the juxtaposition between something raw versus something refined and polished. You know, bringing something feminine and dainty like silk robes or chandelier earrings against the rugged texture of leather. Or using soft pastel colours to offset the harshness of Stevy's guitar. It was all just good fun for me to practice styling and modelling. 
Plus we got to jump around in bed with our shoes. So that's always a plus. 
A big thank you to Hulk for making me laugh and relax during the shoot!

A couple of breadcrumb photos to transition my LA trip photos to my Vegas ones. Although I would be breaking that rule if I were to document my time in Sin City. Does what happen in Vegas, really stay in Vegas? Hmm. Well while I'm left to ponder about that I'll be packing my bags once again for beautiful Hong Kong!
